Universe Testing Laboratory is a salt testing laboratory in Nilgiris providing reliable analytical testing services for salt manufacturers, processors, traders, food businesses and other customers. Our salt testing services help evaluate the purity, composition, quality and safety of edible salt and specialty salt products.
We provide testing for edible common salt, iodized salt, rock salt, black salt, low-sodium salt and other specialty salt products. Depending on the product and testing requirement, analysis may include moisture, sodium chloride content, water-insoluble matter, water-soluble matter other than sodium chloride, iodine and other relevant quality parameters.
Salt product testing may also include minerals and contaminants such as iron, sulphate and other applicable parameters based on the type of salt. Testing is carried out using applicable FSSAI requirements, Indian Standards and other recognized standard methods. Where applicable, tests covered under our current NABL accreditation scope are reported accordingly.
